Artist-book reading installation

The Studio
Codex

A library becomes a place where the book is not only read, but entered, handled, and encountered at the scale of the body.

The encounter

Placed directly on a clear reading floor, the codex invites visitors to circulate around its weathered pages. No single hand can turn a sheet: each page is turned by two people, standing on opposite sides of the book, moving in unison. It is a collective act that makes reading physical and shared. The work joins the library's traditions of stewardship, access, and collective memory.
